Cora "Corky" Kathleen Kessler

 Cora “Corky” Kathleen Kessler, 57, of Forest Hill was called home to be with the Lord Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Summers County Appalachian Regional Hospital following a short illness.

 Born June 19, 1967 in Taylorville, IL she was a daughter of Garnette Sue Schaeffer - Gilbert of Christiansburg, VA and the late Danny Alan Ducommon.

 Cora was a Certified Nursing Assistant at Summers Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and an Activities Director at Main Street Care. She was an avid reader who enjoyed camping, floating the river, crafts, sewing, Saturday visits at Heart Content in Hinton and spending time with family and friends.

 Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 19 years, Jeffrey Earl Kessler; children, Nicholas Patrick Ducommon, Francis Jacob Horn and Breanna Jo Pinto; grandchildren, Freya Horn, Ella Horn, Shane Ducomon and McCoy Ducomon; brother, Danny Alan “Skip” Ducommon; sister, Dana Ann Roop; mother in law, Peggy Lorene Farley; brothers and sisters in law, Rhonda Harrah and husband Keith, Robert Kessler and wife Tonya, Greg Kessler and wife Dottie and James Kessler and wife Sheila; special friends, Samantha and Barbara and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

 Per Cora’s request her body has been cremated and there will be no services.
