Dallas Blaine Bennett, 49, of Cave Hollow Road, Hinton entered into eternal rest peacefully at his home Wednesday, May 18, 2011 following a long illness.
Born April 24, 1962 at Hinton he was a son of the late Arnold Dempsey and Unie Perry Bennett. Dallas lived most of his life in Summers County, he served his country in the United States Air Force where he obtained the rank of Sgt., an employee of Safe and Sound Security, an avid fisherman who enjoyed collecting baseball memorabilia, nascar racing and caring for his beloved pets. Dallas was of the Baptist Faith and a loving husband and brother.
Preceded in death by two brothers, Michael Dempsey Bennett and Arnold Simon Bennett.
Survived by his loving wife of seven years, Elizabeth A. Morgan Bennett of Hinton; one step-daughter, Amber Stover and husband Frank of Beckley; two step-grandchildren, Morgan and Madelyn Stover of Beckley; three sisters, Angela Grabenstein and husband Carl of Oakland, MD, Hilda Bennett of Hinton and Diane Bennett of Hinton; one brother, Dennis Bennett of Hinton and Dallas was loved by many other family and friends.
A celebration of Dallas?s life with family and friends will be held Monday, May 23, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel.
