Dallas Pack

Dallas C. Pack, 74, of Jumping Branch, died Saturday, July 19, 2008 at his home, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born April 7, 1934 at Streeter, in Summers Co., he was the son of the late Ralph C. and Lydia Johnson Pack. Mr. Pack was a member of the Bluestone View Primitive Baptist Church on Ellison Ridge and was a retired UAW Ford Worker. He enjoyed farming and raising cattle. Preceded in death by one son; Dallas Edmond Pack in 1984, one step-daughter; Tina Lynn Adkins in 1995, two brothers; Donald and Dermal Pack and two sisters; Lonna Rutherford and Selbie Brabb. Survived by his wife of 28 years; Joan Pack, one son, Mike Pack and wife Kathie of Lodi, OH, four daughters; Alice Dean of Nimitz, WV, Lydia Goble of Debord, KY, Sonya Bochy and husband Jeff of Harrisburg, OH, Lisa Ward and husband Thomas of Jumping Branch, sixteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren, four brothers; Don Pack and wife Loretta of Columbia Station, OH Darlo Pack and wife Marie of Ohio, Dello Pack and wife Elizabeth of Logan, WV, Delso Pack and wife Martha of Jumping Branch, two sisters; Minnie Harris of Lewisburg and Albie Cooper of Illinois and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Rhoda Ann Memorial Baptist Church at Streeter, with Elder Tommy and Pastor Ernest C. Calfee officiating. Burial will follow in the Johnson Cemetery at Streeter. Friends may call at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors in Hinton from 6-8 P.M. on Monday and at the church one hour prior to services. His grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
