Danny Burdette

Danny Wayne "Birdie" Burdette, 52, of Crab Orchard formerly of Hinton entered into his eternal rest Monday, May 31, 2010 following a long illness.
Born April 6, 1958 at Hinton he was a son of the late James Burdette and Betty Thompson Burdette of Hilldale. Danny served his country in the United States Army as part of the 82nd Airborne, member of Freedom Baptist Church at Powleys Creek, 1977 graduate of Hinton High School where he loved playing football for the Bobcats and was a avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as spending time with his family.
Besides his mother those left to cherish his memory include his best friend and companion, Jenny Horton of Crab Orchard; two sons, Patrick and Jacob Burdette of Hilldale; three sisters, Pat Hartwell and husband Jack of Hinton, Vickie Lemmon and husband Vince of Ohio and Karen Dady and husband Marty of Ohio and one brother, Ronnie Burdette of Arizona.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Thursday, June 3, 2010 at Freedom Baptist Church at Powleys Creek with Pastor George Cook officiating. Burial will follow at a later date in the Valley View Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 P.M. until service time on Thursday at the Church.
