Danny Gill

October 28, 1941 — April 16, 2014

Danny L. "Nip" Gill, 72, of Talcott passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Summers County Appalachian Regional Hospital following an apparent heart attack.
Born October 28, 1941 at Summers County he was a son of the late Nathaniel W. Gill and Sudie Belle Craycraft Gill.
Danny was a retired US Army Sgt. First Class having served during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a self employed roofing contractor. Danny enjoyed catching fish bait for area stores in Summers County, hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Barbara Anderson; one brother, Bobby Joe Gill and two sisters, Jean Bailey and Mary Davis.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 50 years, Friederike "Rikki" Krause Gill at home; two sons, Richard Gill and wife Mary of Talcott and George Gill and wife Donna of Morgantown; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one son in law, Jeff Anderson; one brother, Roger Gill and wife Nancy of Princeton; two sisters, Ruth Farley and husband Eugene of OH and Thelma Graham of Hilldale.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, April 21, 2014 at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Friends may call from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral parlors. Burial will follow in the Gill Cemetery at Hilldale.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
