Darrell Ray Turner, Jr. 18, of Hinton, died Sunday April 1, 2006 at Hinton. Born April 22, 1988 at Hinton, he was the loving son of Sharon Kay Grose Hicks of Hinton and Darrell Turner Sr. and wife Robin of Hinton. Darrell was a member of the Bellepoint Baptist Church of Hinton, attended Summers Co. High School and was a 2005 Graduate of the Mountaineer Challenge Academy. He was employed in the landscaping business and was an avid WVU football fan. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother; Margaret Martin, paternal grandfather; W. P. Turner, Jr., maternal great grandmother; Lena Mae Webb and two uncles; Richard Turner and Pee-Wee Grose. Besides his parents, he is survived by his loving family, sister; Courtney Turner Ford and husband Tucker of Hinton, two brothers; Llerrad Hicks and wife Julie of Columbus, OH and Chris Hicks and wife Michelle of Hinton, Maternal grandfather; Rev. Ray Martin of Hinton, paternal grandmother; Frances Turner of Hinton, two nephews; Zachary and Mason Hicks, one niece; Emma Noel Ford and a special friend; Mule Williams of Jumping Branch. He is also survived by his pets; T-Bone and Jasmine as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will miss him dearly. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in the Wimmer Cemetery at Hinton. Friends may call at the funeral parlors from 6-9 P.M. on Wednesday. Pallbearers: Jeremy and Jason Gross, Corey Lilly, Larry, Justin and Timmy Turner, Eric Yancey, Jared Conner, Zach Mills and Chris and Llerrad Hicks.
