David E. Bolling, 83, of Nimitz died Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Bowers Hospice House following a short illness.
Born May 17, 1934 in Raleigh County he was a son of the late Harry J. and Anna Cornelia Overby Bolling.
David was a member of Perry Memorial United Methodist Church and a U.S. Army Veteran having served three years form 1954 - 1957. He was a former employee of WVDOH with 8 years of service and a retired conductor for CSX Corp. with 27 years of service.
David was preceded in death by brother, Cornelius Roosevelt Bolling and two infant brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Johnson Bolling at home; three sons, Tim Bolling and wife Stephanie of Nimitz, Michael D. Bolling and wife Sandra of Nimitz and Mark Bolling and companion Christy Holstein of Shady Spring; one sister, Mary Burroughs and husband Jerry of Charles Town; four grandchildren, Nicole Bolling, Amanda Ballengee, Zach Bolling and Kasey Bolling; one great grandchild, Allison Bolling and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside services and burial will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the Bolling Cemetery on Freezeland Mt. with Pastor Scott Mayberry officiating. Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery from 10:30 A.M. until time of services. Anyone unfamiliar with the location of the cemetery may meet at the funeral home at 10:00 A.M. to follow in the funeral procession.
Pallbearers will be Scott McGraw, Eddie Bowles, Jerry Foster, Wayne Bolen, Donnie Meadows, Phillip Maddy, Bobby Ronat and Thomas Sea
Honarary pallbearer is Sherman Bolling.
Arrangements are by the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors of Hinton.
