David M. Fox, 80, of Williamsburg entered into eternal rest Thursday, June 14, 2012 at the Greenbrier Valley Medical Center following a long illness.
Born March 25, 1932 at Clayton, he was a son of the late Manuel R. and Laura Belle Atwell Fox.
David was a construction worker and a member of the United Steel Workers Local # 14614. He enjoyed riding horses, trading knives and guns as well as traveling.
He is preceded in death by three brothers; Howard, Donald and Roger Fox; one sister, Francis Dillon; one granddaughter, Shelly Wilfong and a step daughter, Audra Helen ?Pee Wee? Meadows.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Wilma J. Meadows Fox at home; four sons, James Fox and wife Cathy of Scott Depot, Mike Fox and wife Suzanne of Grantsville, Darrick Fox and wife Mary of Judson and Jon Fox and wife Brenda of Bluefield; five daughters, Debbie Leeson and husband Bub of West Union, Deana Singleton of Glenville, Darlene Gay Smithson and husband Sonny of Glenville, Deniece Elaine Byrd and husband Bob of New London, NC and Kristi Sanders and husband Timmy of Denton, NC; Papa Dave?s special daughter, Jessica Paige Shields; 21 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren; eight brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Sunday, June 17, 2012 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Rev. Roger Brammer officiating. Burial will follow in the Adwell Cemetery in Caldwell. Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. until time of services on Sunday at the funeral parlors. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
