David Meadows

David N. Meadows, 55 of Leland NC, formerly of Madams Creek died Sunday September 9, 2007 at his home following a short illness of cancer. Born April 22, 1952 at Madams Creek he was the son of Donald and Melba Hogan Meadows of Madams Creek. David had worked for Waste Industries of New Hanover County, NC for 25 years and he was of the Christian Faith. Preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas and Laura Meadows and Clarence and Lilly Hogan. Besides his parents he is survived by three sisters, Garnet Meadows of Tucson, AZ, Ruby Wade and husband Doug of Meadow Bridge and Susan Basham and husband Roy of Jumping Branch; two brothers, Darrell Meadows of Pipestem and Danny Meadows and wife Vicky of Newhall, WV; six nieces, four nephews, seven great nieces, four great nephews, one aunt, Nola Shurman of Richfield, OH and several cousins. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, September 13, 2007 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastors Robbie Merritt and Melvin Wills officiating. Burial will follow in the Meadows Family Cemetery on Madams Creek. Friends may call at the funeral parlor from noon until 2:00 P.M. Thursday. Robert Wills, Jack Bennett, Wayne Bennett, Virgil Vest, Norman Farley and Donnie Meadows will serve as pallbearers.
