David R. Williams, 66, of Jumping Branch, died at 1:45 A.M. Tuesday, December 25, 2007 at the Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, following a short illness. Born October 20, 1941 at Green Sulphur Springs he was a son of the late Robert and Grace Pack Williams. A lifelong resident of Summers County, David was a retired barber who owned and operated Daveâ??s Barber Shop in Hinton for 39 years. Preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Williams and one sister, Edith Williams. Survived by his wife of 35 years, Carolyn Wills Williams; two sons, Tony and Michael Williams both of Jumping Branch; two grandchildren, Kaylin and Tyler Williams of Jumping Branch; one brother, Charles Williams and his wife Lucille of Green Sulphur Springs; mother-in-law, Blanche Cochran Wills of Jumping Branch and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 28, 2007 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in the Cochran Cemetery at Jumping Branch. Friends may call from noon till time of the service on Friday at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors. Jack L. â??Buzzâ?? Hellems, Billy Joe Meadows, Mark Ellison, Rusty Williams, Randy Williams, Joe Kessler and Ernie Carr will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers the family would like to request that donations of sympathy be made to the Bowers Hospice House, 454 Cranberry Drive, Beckley, WV 25801.
Viewing Information: From noon until funeral time on friday.
Funeral Information: 2:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral parlor.
