David Franklin Wilson, 79, of Oak Hill passed away Friday, April 12, 2019 at home following a long illness.
Born February 2, 1940 at Long Branch he was a son of the late Joseph and Lillian Neely Wilson.
David was a former coal miner, bartender and exterminator. He enjoyed playing golf and was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
David was preceded in death by on son, David Wilson Jr.; three brothers and one sister.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Bibb Wilson, at home; children, Douglas Wilson of Beckley, Bonnie Wilson of Oak Hill, Ernie Wilson of Sophia, Margarette Wilson of Oak Hill and Patty Wilson of Oak Hill; grandchildren, Brandy Smith and husband Jonathan, Sarah Bougard, Caleb Mitchell, Matthew Mitchell, David Mitchell, Samantha Mitchell and Veronica Gaskins and several great grandchildren.
Graveside service and burial will be 12:00 P.M. Thursday, April 18, 2019 at the Pax Community Cemetery with Speaker John Smith officiating. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 11:30 A.M. on Thursday. Pallbearers: Doug Wilson, Jonathan Smith, Patrick Wilson, Ernie Wilson, Tyler Smith and Brandy Smith.
