Delpha Mae Jeffries Lusk, 93, of Shady Spring, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, October 15, 2020 at the home of her daughter whom cared for her following a long illness.
Born February 18, 1927 at Gay, WV she was a daughter of the late Okie H. and Golda Stalnaker Jeffries.
Delpha was a Pentecostal Church of God Minister. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother, and is the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. W.W. Lusk; two daughters, Sharon Alice Wilson and Mary Ellen Chambers; two sons, Michael Donovan Wilson and Roger Dolan Wilson; two grandsons, three brothers and five sisters.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Sandra Wills and husband Frank of Shady Spring; one son, Roger Lusk of Shady Spring; two step daughters, Mildred Mills of Bluefield, VA and Margaret Mazier and husband Paul of Lansing, MI; one step son, David Lusk of Wyoming; 34 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and 10 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 20, 2020, at the Shady Spring Pentecostal Holiness Church, with Pastor Benny Harper officiating. Burial will follow in the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity. Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. until time of services Tuesday at the church. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
