Donald Dunn

Donald G. Dunn, 91, of Groves, TX, died Thursday, November 13, 2008 at Renaissance Hospital. Born March 30, 1917 at Forest Hill, WV, he was a son of the late Samuel Rufus and Venice Clare Vass Dunn. He had been a resident of Groves for the past 48 years, and was a member of Groves First United Methodist Church. Mr. Dunn retired from Dupont Sabine River Works in Orange, TX, as a supervisor in the Adipic Division with 49 years of service. Survived by his wife; Mabel Dunn of Groves, TX, two daughters; Clare Rudder and husband Randy of Mt. Juliet, TN and Dona Dawkins and husband Keith of Rockport, TX, one son; John Hutchinson and wife Linda of Seaford, VA, nine grandchildren; Christien Murawski, Hope Causey, Abigail Rudder, Emily Dawkins, Sarah Dawkins, Jeremy Dawkins, Danielle Dawkins, Suzanna Dawkins and Joshua Dawkins. Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 15, 2008 at Groves First United Methodist Church, Groves TX with Pastor Alan Van Hooser officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Hill Methodist Church Cemetery at Forest Hill, WV, Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Sam Haught officiating. Following the burial, a memorial service and reception will be held at the New Hope United Methodist Church at Marie, WV. Donations of sympathy can be made to the New Hope United Methodist Church in Marie WV.
Viewing Information: There will be no visitation.
Funeral Information: Graveside service and burial will be at 11:00 am Saturday at the Forrest Hill U.M C. Cemetery with Pastor Sam Haught Officating.
