Donald Ray Lemon, 63, of True went home to be with the Lord, Friday March 14, 2014, at the Summers Co. Appalachian Regional Hospital following a sudden illness.
Born May 11, 1950 in Hinton he was a son of the late Howard W. and Ruth Thompson Lemon.
Donnie attended the James Chapel United Methodist Church, a former equipment operator in the maintenance division for Pipestem State Park and a member of the WV Farm Bureau. He enjoyed farming, tending to his cattle and his beloved pets, and spending time with his grandson and family.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 21 years, Marilyn Albert Lemon.
Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Howard Lemon and wife Tori; one grandson, Thomas Lemon; Close friend and brother in law, Ricky Albert; sister in law, Patricia Meadows and husband Buck all of True; two nieces, Kasi Meadows and Shannon Meadows-Gill; three great nephews; one great niece and many special cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Rev. David Damewood, Pastors Robbie Merritt and Johnny Wills officiating. Burial will follow in the Wynn-Houchins Cemetery at True. Friends may call from 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral parlors. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers donations of sympathy may be made to "Walk for Her Lifetime" at P.O. Box 13, Hinton, WV 25951.
