Dora Leigh Faris, 56, of Pipestem went home to be with the Lord Friday, November 3, 2017 following a short illness.
Born August 2, 1961 at Raleigh County she was a daughter of the late Agnes Palmer Adkins and Daniel Paul Adkins of Pipestem.
Dora was an in-home healthcare provider. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Preceded in death by one son, Anthony Adkins; two brothers, Daniel Paul Jr. and Danny Paul Adkins and two sisters, Patricia Ann Adkins and Kathryn Lynn Adkins.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 29 years, Jim Faris; two sons, Elijah McBride and wife Hope of Jacksonville, NC and Justin Faris and wife Katelyn of Pipestem; nine grandchildren, Braxton, Brendon, Bryson, Braeden, Tyler, Gracie, Isabella, Matix and Kinsleigh and three sisters, Mary Huffman and husband Bryan of Wayside, Melissa Ward and husband Daniel of Sandstone and Ruth Hartwell and husband Doug of Pipestem.
A celebration of life will be 7:00 P.M. Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Cooks Chapel Baptist Church with Pastor Dallas Peyton Jr. officiating. Friends may call from 6:00 P.M. until time of services on Thursday at the church.
