Dora Lee Jones Ratliff, 85, of Hinton passed away October 22, 2015 at her home following a long illness.
Born October 9, 1930 in Hinton, she was the daughter of the late Shields Landon Jones and Hazel Bowyer Jones.
Dora was a graduate of Talcott High School and Davis Beauty School of Richmond, VA. She was the owner of Les Beaux Cheveux for many years. Dora was a member of Beech Run Baptist Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Roger Ratliff, and one brother, Ralph Eugene Jones Sr.
Dora is survived by her son, Robert L. Butler III and wife Patricia of Powhatan, VA; two grandchildren, Mederise Padilla and husband Erwin of Mechanicsville, VA, and Daniel Ross Butler and wife Christine of Richmond, VA; three great grandchildren, Amber, Elana, and Danielle Padilla of Mechanicsville, VA; one brother, Carroll Jones of Pence Springs; one sister, Margie Jones Sykes and husband Jimmy of Woodbridge, VA; special friend and caregiver, Donna Wykle of Hinton; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, October 26, 2015 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Sonny Angell officiating. Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery at Marie. Friends may call from 11:00 AM until time of the service.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
