Doris Evelyn Gill

            Doris Evelyn Gill, 87, of Hinton went home to be with the Lord Sunday July 24, 2022 at Summers Nursing and Rehab Center following a long illness.

            Born March 3, 1935 at True she was the daughter of the late Joe and Edna Wills Lemon.  A homemaker who loved attending church at The Ministry Place in Hinton.  She enjoyed cooking, shopping, and spending time with her family and friends.

            Preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Gill; three sons, Timothy, Ronnie and Darrell Weikle; daughter in law, Martha Sears; two great grandchildren, Timothy Trout and Phoenix Basilo; siblings, Betty Waddell, June Lemon, James, Benny Howard and Bobby Lemon.

            Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Bonnie Raines and husband Stevie, David Weikle, Leslie Weikle and wife Sarah, Mitchell Adkins, Rebecca Sue Lucas, Teresa Weikle Bryson; twenty-two grandchildren, forty-four great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren and one sister, Mary Cox and husband Jack.

            Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Thursday July 28, 2022 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Eddie Crews officiating.  Burial will follow in the Upland Cemetery near Hinton.  Friends may call from 6-8 pm Wednesday at the funeral parlors.

            Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
