Drema Kay Richmond Rose, 74, of Lewisburg went home to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at the Brian Center in Low Moor, VA.
Born September 21, 1947 at Jumping Branch she was the daughter of Noah “Bernard” Richmond and the late Margie “Eloise” Via Richmond.
Besides her mother she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Edward Rose Sr.; daughter, Kimberly Kay Rose and an infant grandchild.
Drema was a retired housekeeper for Greenbrier Valley Medical Center. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fairlea. Drema was a “second mom” to all of her children’s friends. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Michelle Zicafoose and husband Brian of Concord, NC, Kelly Banton and husband Jimmy of Ronceverte and Earl “Edward” Rose Jr. and wife Leslie of Smith Station, AL; grandchildren, Addison and Richmond Rose, Josie, Sandy, and Peyton Banton and Laurieanna Moore; siblings, Noah Bernard Richmond Jr. and wife Phyllis of Jumping Branch, Linda Brumit and husband James Miller of FL, Richard Keith Richmond and wife Susan of Jumping Branch and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Darrin Cherry officiating. Burial will follow in the Lilly-Crews Cemetery at Nimitz. Friends may call from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Monday, September 27, 2021 at the First Baptist Church of Fairlea.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
