Edha Madeline â??Magâ?? Burnett, 89, of Hinton died Sunday, June 26, 2005 at her home following a long illness. Born May 7, 1916 at Elk Knob she was the youngest of nine children born to Ulysses and Elizabeth Betty Fox Grimmett. A member of the Elk Knob Baptist Church, homemaker, who very much loved her whole family. Preceded in death by her husband; John H. Burnett, two daughter; Jo Ann Bennett and Sarah Elizabeth Simmons, two grandchildren; David Cales and John Wayne Meadows, four brother; Oat, Kellis, Raymond, and Clarence Grimmett, four sisters; Dolly Buckland, Winnie Dick, Onvie and Annie Grimmett. Survived by four daughters; Mary Mills and husband Ron of Lancaster, OH, Lou Ellen Bragg of Hinton who was her caregiver for the past 8 years, Brenda Meadows and husband Willard of Forest Hill, and Kathy Painter of Hinton, nine grandchildren; Beverly Yancey and husband Timmy of Forest Hill, Renee Lilly and husband Jamie of Jumping Branch both of whom she reared, Edha Sue Meaedows, Donald, Dale, and Michael Bragg, Lisa Scott, Lora Jenkins, and Donna Kay Cordle, 17 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, June 30, 2005 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastorâ??s Bill Jenkins and Joe Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in the Elk Knob Church Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-9 P.M. on Wednesday at the Funeral Parlors. Grandsons and Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
