Edith Coffman

Edith Bugg Coffman, 96, formerly of 1022 Greenbrier Drive, Hinton passed away Sunday, August 31, 2014 at the home of her daughter, with whom she resided the last four years in Daytona Beach, FL.
Born March 23, 1918 at Ansted she was a daughter of the late Clayton J. and Oakley Cavendish Walters.
Edith was a member of the Central Baptist Church of Hinton and the Loyal Philathea Class, a member of the Summers County Hospital Auxillary and former member of Ladies of the Moose and Eastern Star. She was a former co-owner of Hinton Block Company. Edith enjoyed watching NASCAR, dog racing and Mountaineer football, collecting coins, oil paintings, visiting the beach and spending time with her family and friends. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Edith was preceded in death by her first husband, Howard Franklin Bugg Jr.; second husband, William "Bill" Coffman; son, Howard Franklin Bugg III; daughter, Sue Ann Scott; granddaughter, Michelle Belton; great grandson, Corey Fricke and four sisters, Mayme Frederickes, Faye Wood, Flo Wood and Justine Long .
Those left to cherish her memory include one daughter, Judy Belton of Daytona Beach, FL; one step-son; Fred Coffman and wife Jana of NE; ten grandchildren; twenty four great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and her lifelong friend, Dot Westmoreland.
Funeral services will be 12:00 P.M. Saturday, September 6, 2014 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastors Robbie Merritt and Bill Fox officiating. Burial will follow in the Cliffty Cemetery at Hico. Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. until time of services Saturday at the funeral parlors.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
