Edward Franklin Cyrus, 62, of 405 17th Ave., Hinton, died at 12:50 P.M. Saturday, November 24, 2007 at the Raleigh General Hospital at Beckley, following a long illness. Born December 30, 1944 at Thurmond, he was the son of the late Walter Franklin and Burl Elizabeth Parker Cyrus. He was a former truck driver and construction worker and had worked at Pipestem Resort State Park. Survived by one son; Christopher Cyrus at home one daughter; Teresa Cyrus of Tennessee, two brothers; Melvin and Jackie Cyrus both of Nimitz, one sister, Juanita Day of Salisbury, NC and several half brothers and sisters. Graveside services and burial will be held at 4:00 P.M. Tuesday at the McElhanney Cemetery at Grassy Meadows with Pastor Melvin Wills officiating. There will be no visitation.
