Elda â??Shirleyâ?? Caruthers, 75, of 495 Stokes Drive, Hinton, died at 6:10 AM Wednesday at the Bowerâ??s Hospice House at Beckley following a long illness. Born October 27, 1932 at Pipestem, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Franklin and Carrie Ellen Anderson Knight. Shirley was the former owner and operator of C&L Rubber Stamps of Charleston, WV and Add-A-Line Rubber Stamps and Printing of Princeton, WV. She was Baptist by faith and had attended the Cookâ??s Chapel Baptist Church at Pipestem. Preceded in death by a daughter; Nancy Elizabeth Meador, one sister; Ivadale Mize and one brother; William Franklin â??Billyâ?? Knight. Survived by three daughters; Carol Jean Leamon of Houston, TX, Carrie Louise Rogers and Deborah Lynn Caruthers both of Portland, TN, one sister; Wilma Bernadine Bower of Hinton, ten grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Funeral Information: Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel in Hinton. Burial will follow in the Ellison Cemetery at Pipestem.
