Elvin Roger "Droop" Wynes

 Elvin Roger “Droop” Wynes, 73, of Lowell went home to be with the Lord Thursday November 14, 2024, at Peyton Hospice House following a short illness.

 Born October 28, 1951, at Talcott he was the son of the late Robert and Burl Bernice Chapman Wynes. Droop was a member of the Talcott Second Baptist Church, retired employee of the City of Hinton Street Department, former employee of O.R. Grimmett Motor Co. and he enjoyed gardening, fishing, and tinkering on old cars.

 Preceded in death by one daughter, Bernice Tate.

 Those left to cherish his memory include one daughter, Joni Jackson; three grandchildren, Marquel Jackson, Shayla Jackson and Robert Tate; one great granddaughter, Olivia Jackson, three brothers, Richard Lynn Wynes, Michael Paul “Monkey” Wynes and wife Alana and David Dewayne Wynes; one niece, Michaela Wynes; one nephew, Matthew Hinton and numerous cousins and friends.

 Memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday November 18, 2024, at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Brian Copney Jr. officiating. Friends may call from noon until the time of services on Monday at the funeral parlors. Following Droop’s wishes cremation services have been entrusted to the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors and Cremation Care Center.
