Emmett Farley

February 15, 1943 — July 30, 2012

Emmett Ray Farley, 69 of the Hilltop Nursing Home at Glen Jean went home to be with Jesus Christ his savior on July 30, 2012, following a long illness.
Born February 15, 1943 at Ellison to the late Emmett L. Farley and late Lottie Cox Farley he was a member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church in Mabscott.
He was proceeded in death by his only brother, James E. Farley.
Survivors include two sisters, Lura and her husband Ron Frye of Mabscott, of which Emmett had made his home with for many years and Glenna Mooney and husband Thomas of Coal City; sister in law, Helen Jefferies of Sophia and a special sister in law, Cindy Wright and husband Gary of Bassett, VA, who gave Emmett many days and weeks of joy and the gift of love, compassion and caretaking. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncle and many friends including the patients and staff at the White Sulphur Springs Nursing Center in White Sulphur Springs.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel in Hinton with the Pastor Wayne Bolen officiating. Family and friends may call one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Josiah Lilly Cemetery at Ellison.
