Emogene Buckland

 Emogene Buckland, 73, of Pence Springs passed away Friday, December 27, 2024 at her home following a long courageous battle with cancer.

 Born July 2, 1951 at Morgantown, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Watkins Jeffries.

 Emogene was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse having worked at Summers Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and The Brier. She enjoyed fishing and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

 Emogene was preceded in death by one daughter, Angela Buckland; one son, Billy Jack Cales; two brothers and two sisters.

 Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Earl Buckland, at home; two daughters, Cindy Buckland and Cheryl Buckland both of Hinton; one son, Earl Buckland Jr. of Pence Springs; one grandson whom she raised, Anthony Buckland; one great grandson whom she raised, Kayson Coleman; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

 Per Emogene’s request there will be no services and her body has been cremated.
