Erma Crockett

Erma Danese Wilson Crockett, age 99, born September 7, 1917 in Talcott, WV, passed away August 11, 2017 at her residence in Columbus, OH. At an early age, she joined Second Baptist Church in Talcott. In recent years, she became a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Columbus. Erma married Arullious J. Crockett and they lived in Talcott and Hinton, WV. In 1958, they moved to Columbus where she was employed at The Ohio State University. Erma was predeceased by her parents, Stella and Isaac Newton Wilson, husband Arullious; son Monte; daughters Carol Chatman, Sharon Archie, and Barbara Sue. She is survived by her children, Robert Crockett, Kenneth (Jennie) Crockett, Brenda Smith-e-Incas, Jackie Crockett, and Darryl (Gina) Crockett; sister Ada Jackson of Talcott; her grandchildren who called her "Mama Nece" and loved her deeply are Bobby, Anthony, Stacey, Lisa (Lamont), Crystal (Albert), Tiffany, Derek, Jared (Shayne), Kyra (Giovanni), Robin, Steve (Beth), Stacey (Iris), Tammy, Darren, Carlton, Austin, Kenya, and Darryl Jr.; daughter-in-law Peggy Crockett; sisters-in-law, Imogene Neal, Hettie Crockett, of Columbus, and Eloise Crockett of New York; several great and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 19, 2017 at the Antioch Baptist Church in Columbus, OH with the Rev. James Frazier officiating. On Monday August 21, 2017 graveside services and burial will be conducted at the Talcott Cemetery at 1:00 PM with the Rev. Brian Copney Sr. officiating. Visitation of friends will be from noon until 1:00 P.M. at the Talcott Second Baptist Church.
