Ernest Leroy Buckland, 64, of Hinton, died Friday, December 18, 2009 at the UVA Hospital at Charlottesville, VA, following a short illness.
Born September 13, 1945 at Hinton, he was the son of the late Dewey Wilber and Annie Mae Lusk Buckland.
Preceded in death by two sisters; Ethel Colgneri and Ruby Mae Buckland.
Mr. Buckland was a disabled truck driver and timberman.
Attended the Powley?s Creek School and Talcott High School.
Survived by four daughters; Verna Raines and husband James of Pipestem, Teresa Buckland and Fiancé Homer Lilly of Pipestem, Sandra Adkins and husband John of Hilldale and Teresa Lahue Lilly and husband Phil of Jefferson VA, five grandchildren and one great granddaughter, one sister, Mary Mcallister of Bridgeton, NJ and two brothers, Cecil Buckland of Hinton and Calvin Buckland of Tonno, VA.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Monday at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Roy Carter officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery on Powley?s Creek. Friends may call at the funeral parlors from 1:00 ? 3:00 P. M. on Monday.
