Ernest W. â??Buckâ?? Via, 92, of Madams Creek, Hinton, died Thursday, October 12, 2006 at the Summers Co. Appalachian Regional Hospital at Hinton, following a long illness. Born May 1, 1914 on Beech Run, in Summers Co., he was the son of the late Joseph Jackson and Mary Elizabeth Shrader Via. Mr. Via was a retired Carmen Helper for the C&O Railroad at Raceland, KY and Hinton, WV and was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Carmen. Preceded in death by his wife, Emma Via, July 10, 1998, four brothers and four sisters. Survived by; one son, Orton Ernest Via and Wife Diana of Greenup, KY; four daughters, Jean Titta and deceased husband Sam of Hinton, Shirley Belford and husband Lloyd of Greenup, KY, Drema Clair and husband Bob of Greenup, KY and Juanita Bennett and husband Robert of Hinton, fourteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Tommy Mounts officiating. Burial will follow in the Restwood Memorial Gardens at Hinton. Friends may call at the funeral parlors from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M. Friday. His grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
