Eva Bower

Eva Pearl Worley (Bower), born May 14, 1919 was born in Daniels, WV. She was the daughter of the late Charley and Ethel Griffith Worley.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Louise (Aug. 22, 1946), a brother, Junior Worley, (July 30, 1944), a brother, George Wilton Worley (Dec. 6, 2004), a sister, Macil Waddell (June 25, 2015) and a niece, Mary Ruth Morris (Sept. 20, 2014).
Eva was an employee of Richmond Cleaners and Crown Cleaners in Beckley. She worked at the Diner in Hinton and was an officer at the West Virginia State Prison. She was co-operator of Riverside Market in Hinton for 20 years. She was a member of the Methodist Church and attended the Jumping Branch Tabernacle. She was a 1940 graduate of Hinton High School and lived most of her life in Jumping Branch.
She is survived by two daughters: Anna Lovett and husband Lawerence of Myrtle Beach, SC and Betty Taylor and husband James of Jumping Branch. Five grandchildren: Jimmy Taylor and wife Mary Jane of Jumping Branch, Michael Taylor and wife Kristi of Jumping Branch, Christine Oland and husband Erik of Thurmont, MD, Lisa Marie Gittings and husband Carl of Asheville, NC and Stephanie Lovett and husband Jeff of Myrtle Beach, SC. Fifteen great grandchildren: Abby, Hannah, Will, Tyler, Austin, Bryce, Colton, Remington, Erika, Rory, Arden, Canyon, Everleigh, Braden and Calvin. Two sisters: Frances Meador and Lola Mae Worley of Jumping Branch. Two brothers: Cleveland Worley and wife Betty and Dean Worley and wife Susie of OH. Twenty one nieces and nephews.
She went to be with the Lord on October 8, 2015. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 12, 2015 at the Mary Jane Church with Pastor Ernest Calfee officiating. Burial will follow in the Worley Family Cemetery near Jumping Branch. Friends may call from 12:00 P.M. until time of services at the Mary Jane Church.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Taylor, Michael Taylor, Austin Taylor, Will Taylor, Alan Waddell, Carl Gittings and Kent Hellems.
