Flora Adkins

Flora Mae Adkins, 59, of Hinton entered into eternal rest Thursday April 29, 2021 at her home following a long illness.

Born April 25, 1962 at Hinton she was the daughter of Catherine Thomas Adkins of Hilldale and the late Willard Adkins.  A former employee of Summers Nursing and Rehab she loved providing care for the elderly.  Flora loved her family, pets and especially her Camaro’s.

Besides her father, she is preceded in death by her companion, Benny “Lucky” Lemon; sister, Sandra “Sissy” Adkins and brother, Clarence “Brother” Adkins.

Besides her mother, those left to cherish her memory include one son, Benny Lee Adkins and fiancé Laura Mae Adkins; one daughter, Tiffany Sykes; three grandchildren, Jasmine Crowe, Keagan Sykes and Peyton Sykes; one sister, Cathy Adkins; many caregivers, nurses and the hospice staff and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be 12:00 P.M. Friday, May 7, 2021 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating.  Burial will follow in the Esquire Cemetery.  Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral parlors on Friday.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
