Franklin Delano ?F.D.? Meador, Jr., 49, of Hinton, formerly of Talcott passed away August 7, 2011 at the CAMC General Division hospital following a short illness.
Born September 30, 1961 in Hinton, he was the son of the late Franklin Delano, Sr. and Virginia Mae (Buckland) Meador. He lived most of his life in Summers County and enjoyed muscle cars and DJ?ing local events.
Besides his parents, F.D. was preceded in death by: paternal grandparents, Samuel Dewey and Ada (Lucas) Meador; and maternal grandparents, Frank Pat and Ethel Mae (Meadows) Buckland all of Summers County WV.
He is survived by his daughter, Alicia Nicole (Meador) Garten and husband Scott of Summers County; four sisters, Deborah Lynne (Meador) Vallandingham and husband William P., Jr. of Greenville, NC; Susan Yvonne Meador of Greenville, NC; Virginia Diane (Meador) Lambert and husband Fred, Jr. of Winterville, NC; and Cheryl Lynette Meador Burks of Greenville, NC; two nieces, Virginia Lucille Burks and Susan Abigail Vallandingham, and one nephew, William Patrick Vallandingham, III, all of NC.
Graveside service and burial will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday August 9, 2011 at the Valley View Cemetery on Powley?s Creek with Pastor Dana Stalnaker officiating. Friends may call at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
