Franklin D. Meadows, 69, of Meadow Creek, died Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at his home following a long illness.
Born May 25, 1943 in Rhodell, WV he was the son of the late William (Big Henry) and Flossie Mae Hall Meadows.
Frank was a Construction Worker and Truck Driver who enjoyed gardening and fishing and was a "Mr. Fix It" that treasured his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by four brothers, Andrew, James, Lawrence and David, four sisters; Zettie Grey, Mary Blevins, Eva McAndrews and Sylvia Mazzone and his beloved pet Shelby.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Ann Meadows of Meadow Creek; three daughters, Shannon Moore and husband Trevor of Nottingham, PA, Tammy Adkins and companion Thomas Sea of Hinton and Alicia Meadows Wells of Meadow Creek; three sons, Bruce Weis and wife Lorrie of Nottingham, PA, Albert Weis of Nottingham, PA and John Weis and wife Donna of Honeybrook, PA; ten grandchildren, David, Nicole, Albert, Anthony, Ronnie, Johnny, Jamie, Shawn, Bruce Jr. and Cayden; three great grandchildren, Aubrey Adkins, Jasmine and D.J.; two sister-in-laws, Barbara Meadows of Glen Morgan and Okie Meadows of Shady Spring and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, August 20, 2011 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Prophetess Laura K. Sea and Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in the Meadow Creek Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00A.M. until time of service Saturday at the funeral parlors.
Serving as pallbearers will be Ronnie Ward III, Anthony Adkins Jr., David Meadows, Shawn Adkins, Oren Williams and Thomas Sea. In lieu of flowers, donations of sympathy may be made to the family.
