Fred Bolling

Fred S. Bolling 94, of Southside died Saturday September 8, 2007 at his home following a long illness. Born October 15, 1912 in Raleigh Co. near Hinton he was a son of the late Sherman and Sarah Underwood Bolling. Fred worked in timber most of his life having worked for his brother Nathan Bolling and the D.B. Abshire Lumber Co.Retired from Pipestem Park at 75, enjoyed hunting and fishing and hunting for ginseng. Loved talking to his friends and family about days gone by. Preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Mildred Irene Byrd Williamson Bolling; six sisters, Drucilla Williams, Ilene Martin, Elizabeth Tilley, Belle Tilley, Naoma Bennett and Ethel Bolling; five brothers, Harry, Gilbert, Luther, Hobert and Nathan Bolling. Survived by his stepdaughter, Rosemary Williamson Winebarger and husband Donnie of Atkins, VA; Special Niece, Mary â??Peteâ?? Burroughs and husband Jerry of Jumping Branch; several other nieces and nephews and a special caregiver, Kathy Harvey of Hinton. Graveside service and burial will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday September 10, 2007 at the Restwood Memorial Gardens with Pastor Melvin Wills officiating. There will be no visitation. Friends wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors by 1:30 P.M. on Monday. Thomas Sea, Glenn Vallandingham, Tim Cyrus, Ray, David and Sherman Bolling will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers donations of sympathy may be made to Hospice Care, 540 N. Jefferson Street, Lewisburg, WV 24901
