Freda Joyce Adkins

  Freda Joyce Adkins, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on October 17, 1945, Freda lived a life filled with love, kindness, and devotion to her family.
  She was the cherished wife of the late Glenn Lee Adkins, who preceded her in death in 2002. Together, they created a legacy of love and resilience that will be carried on by the family they built.
  Freda is survived by her three loving children: Kathy Adkins; Alice Meador and her husband, Raymond; and Raymond Adkins and his wife, Cathy. She was a proud grandmother to Joey Meador, Cristen Meador, Charles Adkins and his wife, Nicole, and Owen Adkins and his companion, Kelsey Meadows. She was also a devoted great-grandmother to Hazel Adkins, Liam Adkins, Kensley Adkins, Isaiah Hurley, Keely Cox, and honorary great-grandchild Skye Adkins.
  Additionally, Freda is survived by her honorary grandchildren: Matthew Adkins and his wife, Jen; and Jesse Webb and his wife, Angie, who each held a special place in her heart.
  Freda is also survived by her loving brother, Robert “Buckie” Bennett, and her sister, Anna Jean Marion.
  She will be remembered for her warm smile, her gentle spirit, and her unwavering dedication to her family. Freda found immense joy in the simple moments of life, especially those spent with her loved ones.
  Her love and compassion will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
  There will be no services at this time, and the family will have a private celebration of life at a later date.
