Freddy Ward

June 3, 1946 — November 11, 2021

Freddy Monroe Ward, 75, of Ward Bench went home to be with the Lord Thursday, November 11,  2021 at Summers County ARH following a short illness.

Born June 3, 1946 in Summers County he was the son of the late Eb and Goldie Bennett Ward.  Freddy was of the Baptist Faith, a carpenter who enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors.

Preceded in death by two sisters, Freda Mae Cheeks and Drema Gail Whitt and three brothers, James Elbert Ward, Roger Henry Ward and Carlos Marion Ward.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Timothy Monroe Ward and wife Connie of Hinton, Teresa Ann Ward of Hinton and Tommy Ward of Shady Spring; grandchildren, Timothy Ward Jr., Charity Jeanette Ward, Trea Mann, Wesley Mann, Tyler Ward and Bradley Ward; siblings, Louise Richmond of Greenville, Sue Graham of Hix, Russell Ward of Hinton, Michael Ward of Hix and Donald Ray Ward of Pipestem and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside services and burial will be held 12:00 pm Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at the Cales Family Cemetery with Bobby Cales officiating.  Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery from 11:30 am until time of services on Tuesday.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
