Glenna Francis Fox, 77, of Forest Hill went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at her home following a long illness. Born June 13, 1932 at Wiggins she was the daughter of the late Archie and Marie Harvey Buckland.
Glenna was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she served as the Sunday School treasurer and was active in the Ladies Mission Society as long as her health permitted. She was a lifelong resident of Summers County, a homemaker, seamstress and cake decorator who enjoyed knitting, sewing, painting and cooking.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 60 years, J.W. ?Bob? Fox at home; one daughter, Janet Katherine Raper and husband Stephen of Marietta GA; two sons, Steven Fox and wife Patty of West Union, WV and Kenny Fox and wife Cecilia of Asheboro, NC; one sister, Rita Muriell Deninger of Wiggins; ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 1PM Saturday, April 24, 2010 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Bill Fox officiating. Burial will follow in the Restwood Memorial Gardens near Hinton. Friends may call from 6 to 9 PM Friday at the funeral parlor. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
