Glenna Petrey, 72, of Pipestem went home to be with her Lord Friday, April 24, 2009 at her home in Lerona with her family beside her. Born August 27, 1936 in Summers County she was the daughter of the late Rufus Blaine and Delphia Bragg Richmond. Glenna was a loving mother and grandmother and homemaker who had lived in Summers County most of her life. She was preceded in death by two daughters; an infant, Betty Petrey and Carolyn â??Chrissyâ?? Petrey on March 22, 1987; one son, Fred Scott Petrey on August 24, 1985; five sisters, Ruby Crum, Margie Cales, Macil Fox, Nellie Bragg and Edna Ward; five brothers, Jerry, Johnny, Clyde, Herb and Burner Richmond. She is survived by two sons; Gilbert Wayne Petrey and Michael Ray Petrey and wife Michelle both of St. Albans; five daughters, Sarah Kay Martin and husband Scott of Clayton NC, Florence Mae Keaton and husband Lonnie of Pipestem, Angela Dawn Richmond with whom she had made her home in Lerona, Kathy Jean Yancey and husband Charles of Fairdale and Nina â??Doodyâ?? Walters and husband Jimmy of Lerona; two granddaughters, Nicole Yancey and Tessa Conner who lived with her grandmother; eight grandsons, Josh Yancey, Ricky and Justin Yancey, Raymond Neely, Matthew Keaton, Jonathan Richmond who lived with his grandmother, Brandon Martin and Fredric Petrey; one great-grandson Conner Yancey; three sisters, Jean Deeds of Milton WV, Pat Humphreys of Cleveland OH and Anna Graham of Hinton. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlor Chapel with Pastor Ray â??Buckâ?? Goodwin officiating. Burial will follow in the Shorter Family Cemetery on Bent Mt. Friends may call from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday at the funeral parlors. Pallbears will be Johnny, Vince, Bobby, Randy and Pat Shorter and Curtis McMannaway.
