Goldie Lucinda Boone Martin, 69, of Hinton went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Monday, October 4, 2010 following a long illness.
Born June 11, 1941 at Hinton she was a daughter of the late Isaac D. and Anna Lee Bryson Sears. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, lifelong resident of Summers Co, a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved cooking and spending time with her friends and family.
Preceded in death by her second husband, Marvin Boone; third husband Billy Junior Martin; two infant grandchildren; four brothers, Robert, Otis, James and Hiram Sears; two sisters, Margie Lee Sears and Betty Rose Bennett and one aunt, Mandy Lemon.
Those left to cherish her memory include five children, Brenda ?Kay? Adkins and husband Ronnie, Shirley Ward, Ray Boone and wife Penny, Jimmy Gill and wife Cindy and Junior Boone; eleven grandchildren, Debbie Davis, Steven Boone, Heather Stevenson, Charles Randy Boone, Gregory Boone, Melissa Thompson, Brian Ward, Keith Gill, Suzie Barker, Kenny Barker, B.J. Barker; six great grandchildren, Logan Davis, Briella Thompson, Julia Boone, Makaylah Gill, Makayla Boone and Shannon Barker; two nephews, David and Bobby Bennett; one niece, Barbara Brinegar and numerous cousins.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 9, 2010 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Ron Iddings officiating. Burial will follow in the Sears Family Cemetery at Hix. Friends may call from 6-9 P.M. on Friday at the funeral parlors.
