Goldie Wyrick

Goldie Mae Wyrick, 78, of Pence Springs, died Sunday morning at the Allegheny Regional Hospital at Low Moor, VA, following a long illness. Born January 15, 1928 at Maybury, WV she was the daughter of the late Walter Cooper and Alice Cooper Hylton. Goldie retired from the Summers Co. Hospital at Hinton where she worked as a nurse aide. She was preceded in death by her first husband Glen Rudisill, her third husband, Basil Wyrick, an infant son, Larry Sears, one sister, Helen Fisher and three brothers, Earnest, Sidney and Roy Cooper. Survived by four children; Jerry Sears and wife Susie, Ann Rudisill Hedrick and husband Dale, John R. Rudisill and Eddie Rudisill and wife Lisa all of Pence Springs, eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one brother; Dee Cooper of Keller, TX; one brother-in-law, Johnny Fisher of Beckley; two sisters-in-law, Verna Cooper of Nimitz and Liz Cooper of Chesapeake, OH and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services and burial will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at the Haven of Rest Cemetery at Pence Springs with Pastor Roger Persinger officiating. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations of sympathy be made to the Summers Co. Humane Society. Following the graveside service, the family will receive friends at the home of Ann Hedrick at Pence Springs
