Guy Lester Hatcher, 99, of Beckley formerly of Streeter died at 4:25 P.M. January 8, 2008 at Heartland of Beckley following a long illness. Born October 29, 1908 at Hatcher Flats in Summers County he was a son of the late Henry Hatcher and Luziana Frances Wills Hatcher. Member of the Rhoda Ann Missionary Baptist Church, former member of the Beckley Moose Lodge, a sawyer and general manager for the Goodwin Lumber Co. and an avid fisherman, camper and farmer. Preceded in death by his wife, Eula Eva Hatcher; one son, Kennard G. Hatcher; one grandson, Kenneth Paul Hatcher; one sister and five brothers. Survived by one daughter, Francine Combs and husband Russ of Oak Hill; four grandchildren, Sharon Young and husband Wayne of Saxon, WV, Russell Combs and wife Caren of Beckley, Cynthia Hatcher of Mullens and Randy Hatcher and wife Donna of Sherrills Ford, NC; twelve great-grandchildren and ten great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 12, 2008 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Danny Winders officiating. Burial will follow in the Vest Cemetery at Streeter. Friends may call at the Funeral Parlors from noon till time of service on Saturday. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers
