Hallie Adkins

February 18, 1925 — June 30, 2020

Hallie Mae Adkins, 95, of Hinton went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at Main Street Care following a long illness.

Born February 18, 1925 at Hinton, she was a daughter of the late Oscar and Estella Adkins.

Hallie was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Summers County.  She enjoyed cooking, flower gardening and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Hallie was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford G. Adkins; seven children, Joey, Larry and Rosa Adkins, Joyce Snow, Connie Adkins, Russel and Ronnie Adkins; three grandchildren, Angel Adkins, Casey Ward and Angela Petrey; one great granddaughter, Breanna Petrey; five brothers and one sister.

Those left to cherish her memory include five children, Roger Adkins and Betty Burgess both of Hinton, George Adkins and wife Audrey of Pipestem, Billy Adkins and wife Drema and Bonnie Ward all of Hinton; twenty four grandchildren; sixty eight great grandchildren; twenty one great great grandchildren; one sister, Ida Cook of Pipestem and numerous nieces and nephews.

For the safety of the family and community, services will be private with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating.  Grandsons and family will serve as pallbearers.
