Harold Allen Williams Sr., 90, of Jumping Branch went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at his home following a short illness.
Born May 19, 1930 at Hinton he was a son of the late Fred W. and Lola Mae Via Williams.
Harold was a member of the Nimitz Missionary Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a retired railroader for CSX Transportation with 45 years of service. Harold was a member of the Hinton Masonic Lodge AF & AM. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Harold enjoyed carpentry work, farming, the outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife Odelta Linnie “Tootie” Williams; three brothers, Freddie Williams Jr., Billy Joe Williams and Franklin Delano Williams and two sisters, Edith Marie Williams and Gladys Margaret Carter.
Those left to cherish his memory include one daughter, Judy G. Lilly and husband Ronnie of Jumping Branch; one son, Harold A. “Mule” Williams Jr. and wife Elizabeth of Jumping Branch; five grandchildren, Randy and Curtis Lilly, Melissa Hartwell, Kim Buckland and Ashley Lucas; fourteen great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
For the safety of the family and community, services will be private with Pastor Bill Fox officiating.
