Hayden Richmond

Hayden Eldridge Richmond, 71, of Alderson, formerly of Hix, died at 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 16, 2005 at the Brier Nursing Home at Fairlea, following a long illness. Born May 23, 1934 at Hix, he was a son of the late William Harrison and Nora Ward Richmond. Mr. Richmond had lived most of his life in the Kernersville and Greensboro, NC area where he retired as a Textiles Maintenance and Security Guard. Preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Richmond, three brothers, Howard, Hunter and Luther Richmond and four sisters, Oma Richmond, Effie Williams, Euna Cales and Daisy Williams. Survived by two brothers, Homer Richmond of Chestnut Mt. and Hobert Richmond of Stokesdale, NC and three sisters, Leona Boone of Judson, Lucy Thomas of Judson and Gloria Richmond Kelly of Sparta, NC. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday August 19, 2005, at the Ramp Holiness Church, with Patricia Cales officiating. Burial will follow in the Oâ??Bryan Cemetery at Hix. Friends may call at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors in Hinton from 6-9 P.M. Thursday and at the church one hour prior to services. His nephews will serve as pallbearers.
