Helen Lillian Yancey Pack, 75, of Nimitz entered into eternal rest, Sunday January 24, 2010 at Summers Nursing and Rehab following a long illness.
Born May 23, 1934 at Lerona she was a daughter of the late Homer Elliot and Sara Ann Pack Yancey. A member of the Mary Jane Memorial Methodist Church at Streeter, homemaker, lifelong resident of Summers Co. and she enjoyed taking walks with her friends.
Preceded in death by one son, Curtis D. Pack; one sister, Elizabeth Hartwell; four brothers, Bob, Bill, Tommy and Gene Yancey.
Survived by her husband of 59 years, Jim Pack of Nimitz; four children, Jimmy Pack and wife Ruth of Jumping Branch, Connie Lilly and husband Roy of Jumping Branch, Mark Pack and wife Debbie of Crow and Kent Pack and wife Erin of NC ; one daughter-in-law, Kim Pack of Streeter; nine grandchildren, Sherry Canaday, Rebecca Pack, Tabitha Barnes, Brian Pack, Alisha Ellis, Jessica Pack, Alec and Benjamin Pack and Leslie Venatter; seven great grandchildren, Autumn and Aidan Whittaker, Noah, Kylee and Austyn Barnes, Haven and Hadley Ellis; one brother, Charles Yancey of Fairdale; one sister, May Pack of Indianapolis, IN and special friends, Peggy Keaton and Ruby Harrah.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday January 27, 2010 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Bill Fox officiating. Burial will follow in the Lilly-Crews Cemetery at Nimitz. Friends may call from 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral parlors.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
