Helen Stephens

Helen Elnora Stephens, 68 of Alderson, a loving wife, mother and grandmother went home to be with the Lord, November 14, 2007 at the Greenbrier Valley Medical Center following a long illness. Born March 30, 1939 in Maryland she was a daughter of the late George and Addie Louise Sprouse Shaver. A former nurse who had worked and retired in Louisa, VA. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband and best friend of 22 years, James Preston Stephens; three sons, Benjamin Barry Earhart and his wife Rebecca of Alderson, Stanley Allen Earhart Jr. and his wife Bessie of Afton, VA and Samuel Dale Kincaid Earhart of Louisa, VA; one daughter, Lorrie Gail Bowen of Louisa, VA; two brothers, George Shaver of GA and Fred Shaver of VA; one sister, Alice Glass of VA; thirteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. There will be no services and at her request her body has been cremated.
