Henry E. Adkins, 86, of Keatley Springs passed away Saturday November 3, 2018 at his home following a long illness.
Born May 23, 1932 at Hinton he was a son of the late Hunter Dunn and Annie Pearl Gill Adkins.
Henry was a retired Public Works Department employee of the City of Hinton, a member of the Church of the Lord Jesus in Squire, WV and the Keatley Springs Holiness Tabernacle in Jesus name. He enjoyed taking scenic car rides, looking at family photo albums and spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Christina Adkins; seven brothers, William, Eugene, Fred, Albert, Pete, Basil, and an infant twin brother; three sisters, Nellie Adkins, Kathleen Gill and Ethel Mae Gross.
Those left to cherish his memory include one niece whom he reared, Rosie Culbertson and husband David of Keatley Springs; two grandchildren, Ariel and David Culbertson of Keatley Springs; two brothers, Melvin and Everett Adkins both of Possum Hollow; one sister, Ella Mae Owens of TN and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday November 6, 2018 at the Keatley Springs Holiness Tabernacle in Jesus name with Brothers Chris Wolford and Joey Rowe officiating. Burial will follow in the Adkins Cemetery at Hilltop. Friends may call from 6-8 P.M. Monday at the church. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
