Herman Grimmett

Neil Grimmett, 56, of 4801 Tamaron Drive, Greensboro, NC, formerly of Hinton, passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at his home. Born in WV, July 13, 1951, he was the son of the late Herman Cline and Delma Massie Grimmett. He was a graduate of Hinton High School, and West Virginia University with a BS degree in Landscape Architecture. Neil worked for New Garden Landscaping and Nursery since 1986. He predominantly managed plant procurement for landscaping and the garden centers, but was also involved in sales to New Garden customers. He is survived by; two brothers, Keith Grimmett and wife Mary Alice of Pipestem and Reece Grimmett and wife Phyllis of Lewisburg; three auntsâ?? four nephews, Michael, Duane, Patrick and Rodney Grimmett; one niece, Gina Mitchell; twelve great nephews and close personal friends, Kevin and Brenda Otey, Jeff Brookman and Marilyn â??Sissyâ?? Merrill. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the Pleasant Ridge Christian Church, 2049 Pleasant Ridge Road, Greensboro, NC. Friends may call Friday from 7-9 P.M. at the Forbis and Dick Funeral Home 5926 West Friendly Ave, Greensboro, NC. Graveside services and burial will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday at the Elk Knob Baptist Church Cemetery near Hinton with Pastor Ronald L. Cobb officiating. Memorials may be made to the J.C. Raulston Arboretum, P.O. Box 7522, Raleigh, NC 27695 or the American Heart Association.
