Hope Adkins

Drema Hope Adkins, 62, of Sandstone died Thursday , June 5, 2008 at the Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital following a long illness. Born May 31, 1946 at Hinton, she was a daughter of the late Guy and Esta Bower Shrader. She was a former employee of Butlerâ??s Pharmacy and loved her family and friends dearly. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband; James Adkins, one son; Joey Williams, one sister; Diane K. Shrader and one brother; Gene Shrader. She is survived by her companion of 15 years; Bobby Ayers of Sandstone; one sister; Iveta Graham of Ballard; one brother; Rodney Shrader and wife Doreen of Ohio and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, June 9, 2008 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Tommy Mounts officiating. Burial will follow in the Adkins Cemetery at Sewell Mountain. Friends may call at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlor from 11:00 A.M. until time of service on Monday. Friends will serve as pallbearers.
