Howard Adkins Jr.

Howard Arnett Adkins Jr. , 67, of Talcott entered into eternal rest Saturday, September 4, 2021 at his home following a sudden illness.

Born February 1, 1954 at Talcott, he was a son of the late Howard Arnett Sr. and Dorothy Pauline Sears Adkins.

Junior was a former employee of Greenbrier Nurseries and enjoyed manicuring his immaculate yard and making picnic tables and chairs.  The joy of his life was spending time with his boys, family, friends, and his four dogs.

He is preceded in death by two sisters, Norma Jean Hicks and Freda Ann Hicks.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 46 years, Betty Marie Jones Adkins; two sons, Howard Arnett Adkins III of Talcott and Justin Blaine Adkins at home; two granddaughters, Sumner Kincaid Adkins and Schulyer Kincaid Adkins both of Lewisburg; four sisters, Jerolee Cales and husband Michael of Talcott, Arnell Seldomridge and husband Tim of Lewisburg, Cindy Spangler and husband Bob of Charlotte, NC and Wilma Gardisky of Hinton; two brothers-in-law, Gary and James Jones; two sisters-in-law, Sharon Poling and Loretta Walker; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

At Junior’s request services will be private for the family.
