Hubert Dean Adkins Jr.

Hubert Dean Adkins Jr., 75, of Hilldale passed on to be with the Lord Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at Princeton Community Hospital following a short illness.

Born July 16, 1949 at Hinton he was a son of the late Hubert Dean Adkins Sr. and Genivieve Ward Adkins.

Hubert was a retired United States National Guardsman. He was a former member of the Summers County Volunteer Fire Department as well as Talcott Volunteer Fire Department. Hubert worked as a truck driver and a construction worker. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching NASCAR races and spending time with his family and friends.

Hubert was preceded in death by one brother, Arthur Dale Adkins.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 47 years, Deloris J. Williams Adkins; one son, Ronnie Dale Williams and wife Margie; six grandchildren, Todd Williams and wife Michaela, Katie McGuire, Andy Sampson, Terry Sampson, Shawnie Whitaker and Brianna Whitaker; six great grandchildren, Bryan Jones, Brynleigh Jones, Makayla Williams, Natalie Sampson, Derby Sampson and Elijah Sampson; one brother, Donald “Doc” Adkins and wife Sarah and two nieces, Amy Adkins and Allison Adkins.

Memorial services will be 7:00 P.M. Monday, March 24, 2025 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Rev. Dewight Stafford officiating. Friends may call from 5:30 until time of services on Monday at the funeral parlors.
